From Our Friends at The Summit

Dear Friends of The Summit:
For more than a decade, The Summit's Marilyn Stroud Music Alive program has been collecting, restoring and donating instruments to students in Akron Public Schools. Later this summer, we will announce the single largest donation of beautifully restored instruments ready for play for the 2021-22 school year. We are working closely with Dawn Wilson of APS Fine Arts to place instruments by need throughout the district.
In the meantime, I want to thank Brad Connair and his loyal team at Taylor Band & Orchestra for the hundreds of donated service hours. Taylor Band & Orchestra has fueled this program from day one and is directly responsible for its success. We would also like to thank our station volunteers, led by Rick Kennedy with loyal support from Julie DiVitto, Henry Gulich, Evan Lifke and lots of additional station volunteers in addition to Michelle Charles and The Canton Symphony Orchestra for their program partnership.
We'd love it if you would watch the Marilyn Stroud Music Alive Program Promo Video - and we'll have much more information forthcoming this summer.
